For over a year, the Old Military Road Trail Advisory Committee, a group of volunteers and interested citizens, has been creating a plan for a new trail in Fort Plain. Funded by a Department of State Local Waterfront Revitalization Program grant, the trail will start at the Thruway Overpass of the Canalway Trail and connect to the Fort Plain History Museum, Wiles Park, Fort Plain Schools, the downtown and finish up back at the Canalway Trail. Montgomery County Local Tourism Grant Funds Available

The Montgomery County Business Development Center in conjunction with the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds of local tourism events. The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors has made available $10,000 for this year to provide financial support to local organizations hosting local tourism events that will attract visitors to the County. Applications are available at the Montgomery County Business Development Center office or the following websites, www.mcbdc.org
